Vinitrio Marselan 2013


Marselan is a new grape varietal created in southwestern France by blending Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. Because of its resistance to mold and disease, it‘s popular in emerging wine regions, mainly China. Vinitrio is one of the few who cultivate this grape in France.

Tasting Notes: In this plush, medium-bodied wine, tension and acidity are sandwiched between layers of earth and fruit: tar, raspberry-balsamic vinegar, blackberry compote, and plum spill into your mouth.

Pairings: Eggplant tagine, roasted portabello mushrooms, ragù.
