Debra, a former chef and microbiologist, and David, a winemaker, are the husband-and-wife duo behind Red Newt Cellars. Here, we pay tribute to Upstate New York—a region known primarily for its Rieslings and Cabernet Francs—with a fantastic bottling that extends beyond New York tradition.

Tasting Notes: Subtle, dark fruit on the palate is intertwines with strong aromas of toasted cedar, spice bread, and white pepper on the nose.

Pairings: Duck confit, stuffed portobellos, butternut squash ravioli.

Soil Types: chalky lime soil
Fermentation: 33% whole cluster fermentation in oak
Aging: 18 months in oak
