The property from this family-owned winery dates back to the 1800s when it was part of a noble Genoan family’s estate. Today, the winery is headed up by granddaughter Laura Valditerra. We recommend shaking the bottle before opening to prevent the flavorful sediment from settling to the bottom.

Tasting Notes: This wine is surprisingly youthful and potent: aromas of soy sauce, Dijon mustard, horseradish, and dark balsamic mingle with flavors of espresso and black licorice. An absolute delight.

Pairings: Dried fruit, nuts, fish ‘n’ chips, steak tartare.

Fermentation: 8 to 10 day maceration
